Michele McCutcheon was born and raised in the south, where she developed a love of dance and fitness at an early age. Upon graduating high school, she received an exclusive one year scholarship to the EDGE performing arts center in Los Angeles, where she was trained by the leading artists in the dance industry. Michele completed her training at Oklahoma City University, receiving her B.P.A in Dance Performance. Eager to embark upon a professional dance career, Michele moved to Las Vegas. She danced in several notable staged productions, and also toured with Grammy-award winning artist Sharam of Deep Dish. Having taught dance since the age of 16, she was also eager to make the transition into teaching. Michele moved to Orange County in 2009, where she began teaching in the disciplines of ballet, jazz, contemporary, hip-hop, and tap. She also choreographed award- winning pieces for competitive teams. Always loving a challenge, Michele's interest peaked when seeing the need for Pure Barre teachers in the Irvine area. After completing training, Michele knew Pure Barre would take her to the next level not only as a teacher, but as a student. She was blown away by the class's unique approach to developing a "dancer's physique." Michele quickly gained a love and respect for the Pure Barre technique, which so brilliantly parallels that of a comprehensive, professional ballet class, but requires no previous dance experience. She is thrilled to bring Pure Barre to the Anaheim Hills area.
