Everyone remembers their first class. We remember the feeling before going to class, how we felt in class, and the burn after class. If you are a newbie keep reading, some of our Pure Barre Family members have some insight they would like to share with you below!

Don’t be afraid to shake.

“Give it a try and don’t be afraid to shake. You will love it when you are finished and will have a whole new family.” – Connie B., client at Pure Barre Toledo

All fitness levels will be in one class.

“It doesn’t matter what kind of shape you are currently in. It doesn’t matter what others in the class are doing or look like compared to you. To those who think that Pure Barre is not the workout or place for them, I am living proof that doesn’t have to be true. Show up and don’t stand in your own way.”  – Melissa M., client at Pure Barre Chicago – Old Town

Talk to your teachers.

“Don’t be afraid to ask a question (or 10) after class. The more you know about how your body and if you are doing the movements correctly, the stronger you will get. And don’t be shy, sit up front!” – Victoria M. client at Pure Barre Dallas

Sign up for the New Client Special.

“Give it a whole month. I guarantee you will love the changes you see!  After my first class I was whining and sniveling to the instructor and my sister on how hard it was they both said, “It doesn’t get easier, it just gets better”.  And boy were they both correct!” – Colleen L., client at Pure Barre Burlingame

Pure Barre is a family.

“It is a full body work out with people who become your friends! You will be so proud after your first class, and will be motivated with the encouragement from the team. Soon you will be addicted like me!” – Janette J., client at Pure Barre McKinney

Attend a breaking down the barre class.

“Breaking Down the Barre is a must!  It’s a thorough and less intimidating way to really understand what they say and what it actually means. Also, plan out your classes for the month and mark them down…keeps you accountable & on track!” – Cassandra H., client at Pure Barre Richmond Short Pump

You’re stronger than you think.

“They say it in class, but it’s true: you’re stronger than you think. And if you keep going with Pure Barre, you’ll get even stronger until one day you realize that the things you thought you’d never be able to do in your first class, you are able to now do.” – Elise M., client at Pure Barre Metairie

We’re all in it together.

“Don’t be nervous! It’s hard for everyone but that’s a good thing. You are on your own journey and you will make progress. I was motivated by wanting to see results and see if this worked – after such a short time seeing a change in my body meant the world to me!”– Kristin M., client at Pure Barre Greenville NC

Set goals.

“At the beginning of each class just set one small goal (hold a plank for 5 seconds longer, sink into the exercises an inch deeper) and you will definitely see results if you stick with it!”- Ifeoma N., client at Pure Barre Manhasset

Start small and build up.

“It seems brutal in the beginning (which it is), but as your body becomes more conditioned, you’ll appreciate the hard work. Start off with 2-3 classes a week, then add more. I was able to do 8 classes in a row to meet my goal one month, but try to go 4-5 times a week.” – Wendy W., client at Pure Barre Sugarland
