When Great Women Come Together

We need to surround ourselves by strong women who inspire us–women who will support our journey and celebrate our successes and in turn, we can do the same for them. When great women come together, even greater things happen.Think about it. Isn’t it wonderful when we see women supporting other women? Building one another up rather than breaking each other down. Our hope is that you see it every time you step into your Pure Barre studio. That you find a strong community of women there to cheer you on.

And, let’s not forget to support the most important woman of all….yourself! We are so often our own worst critic.  Everywhere we look we are constantly told what we should and should not do. What is right and what is wrong. What to eat, what to wear, and what we should look like. With all of the unrealistic expectations that are thrown at us on a daily basis, it can be hard to put our time and effort in the right places. Our own insecurities can get the best of us and ultimately force us to channel our energy in a negative way to not only ourselves, but those around us.

Amy Poehler once said, “Great people do things before they’re ready. They do things before they know they can do it. And by doing it, they’re proven right.” Let’s replace “great people” with “great women.”  Great women do things before they’re ready–and they do them when they are empowered, inspired, and supported by other women.  Yes, men play a very important part in our lives, but the journey is always better with our girls by our side.

The timing is never going to be just right. There’s always going to be some reason as to why you tell yourself you’ll start tomorrow, in a week, or next month. Don’t be afraid to go for it.  You never know who you might inspire.
