When bringing a developing child into the world, exercising may be the last thing on an expectant mother’s mind. However, some exercise during pregnancy can be incredibly beneficial to both the mother-to-be and the baby, especially when the mother-to-be has been an avid exerciser pre-pregnancy. From relieving certain types of pain to preventing swelling around the feet and potentially reducing time in labor, prenatal workouts may help take some (but not all) of the stress out of those 9 months.
