How to get the most out of your work out

Staying healthy is important. Being able to work out, stay safe, and get the most out of your workout are the main goals. The Pure Barre workout uses focused movements to work groups of muscles. There are a few small things you can do before and after your workout to make it a great workout that you see results with.

The number one rule for before and after any workout is to hydrate. When you sweat you lose nutrients and water from your body. You also need water to help keep your body from getting too hot. If you do not hydrate well you can cause your muscles to cramp, you can become dizzy, or a plethora of other symptoms. Ensure that you have a good night’s sleep. Your muscles need time to relax.

Besides hydrating yourself, before you work out you need to stretch your muscles. If you do not stretch there is a possibility of tearing muscles. This can take months to heal. Keeping your self-fed with great, nutrient-rich food is also another great way to help with your workout. If you are working out on an empty stomach, you run the risk of feeling weak or tired while you are doing your workout. Also, working out burns a lot of energy and calories. To ensure that you have the fuel for your workout a small snack is a great pre-workout ritual to get into the habit of doing.

After your workout, you need to follow similar steps. HYDRATE! Hydration is very important. Not getting enough water when you are burning off water can make you ill or as stated above give you cramps in your muscles. A small snack after is another great idea. Make certain that your snacks are small and nutritious. Something that is full of protein is ideal. Avocados, chicken, fish, or eggs are full of protein and a great post-workout meal. Stretch out your muscles one more time. This helps move the lactic acid out of your muscles. If you do not stretch your muscles can become sore.

If you follow all of these easy steps before and after your workouts, you can have a great workout. You want to make certain that you eat small nutritious meals before and after and that you drink several liters of water. Stretch before and after so that you do not tear any muscles or overtire them.
