From Pure Barre Enthusiast, Angela Beck
Pure Barre is fantastic fun, friends, fashion, focus and fitness all in one. It is the one thing I try to do for myself at least five days a week. During those 55 minutes, I am able to put everything else out of my mind, tune in to my body and work it. I leave dripping in sweat and sometimes aching, but my mind is sharpened and my energy for the day is through the roof!
I love the community of women that I have met at our studio. There are people there from all walks of life and at various levels of fitness. No one is judging anyone else or competing. I find we encourage one another and empower each other even outside of the studio. We celebrate each other’s 100th class, 250th class, new babies, engagements, weddings, birthdays, whatever it may be! There’s just a lot of love and support within the studio.
I like that once I got the basics down, I could start to work on perfecting my technique (which will never happen, but it’s nice to have a goal and work hard for it)! My husband and I started our family later in life, so I’m an “older” mom of three young daughters. My children know all about Pure Barre, what I do there and I absolutely love it when they ask me what “moves” we did that day or what music was in the playlist. Not only is Pure Barre giving this 40+ momma a body that would rival any 20 year old, it’s fighting against family genetics for stroke, high blood pressure and high cholesterol. Pure Barre makes me feel like I am doing my part to ensure I will be around as long as possible for my daughters. Not to mention, I love that my husband sees how much it benefits me and helps me make class a priority. Pure Barre is simply good for the soul!
