Miriah went from Pure Barre client, to teacher to studio owner. Read more about her journey below!
Pure Barre: When did you first fall in love with Pure Barre?
Miriah: I fell in love with Pure Barre two years ago when I first became a Pure Barre teacher. I love challenging my body and taking my fitness to the next level.
Pure Barre: What inspired you to open your own studio?
Miriah: My commitment to the technique, my high standard of teaching and wanting to create a community that loves barre just as much as I do! Pure Barre will challenge you physical and will also inspire, motivate and empower you to take on life!
Pure Barre: Tell us about your professional background.
Miriah: I graduated from the Fashion Institute of Technology majoring in Fashion Merchandising and Buying. After school, I was a childrenswear buyer for a retail chain of stores in Brooklyn, NY. I took a break from the fashion world when we moved to Long Island, NY to raise a family.
Pure Barre: What is the most surprising challenge about becoming an entrepreneur that people might not consider?
Miriah: It is challenging to be a small business owner while raising three kids and managing a household. Luckily, I have an amazing husband who is behind me 100%!
Pure Barre: What have you learned about yourself in the process of owning your own business and opening your studio?
Miriah: While being a “stay at home mom” is priceless, I now realize that I am much more than that. I inspire, motivate, challenge and empower women to live their most fit lives! I have been given the most amazing opportunity to bring something I am so passionate about to Garden City, NY.

Pure Barre: What is your favorite breakfast/lunch spot in Garden City?

Pure Barre: What is the best kept secret in Garden City?
Miriah: The specialty retailers of course!
Pure Barre: What community activities are you involved in?
Miriah: I am a member of the Garden City Chamber of Commerce, and an active supporter of the local PTA’s.
Pure Barre: Tell us about your kids!
Miriah: I have three children. Two girls and one boy. Isabella is my oldest at 13 years old , some say she is my mini ME! She plays Basketball for our church and loves to dance. Evalia is my middle child, she is 10 years old. She too loves playing Basketball and is also an active Girl Scout member. Nicholas my youngest and is 7 years old. He loves to play all sports, especially hockey!
Pure Barre: On a typical Saturday, you can find me…
