founder & chief concept officer Carrie Rezabek Dorr is the founder and chief concept officer of Pure Barre. Carrie grew up professionally dancing, performing and choreographing events all over the U.S. She has extensive training in dance, pilates and fitness. After earning a Business degree from Michigan State and a Law Degree from Wayne State, Carrie opened her first studio in Birmingham, MI in 2001 where she developed Pure Barre the workout.
Carrie lived like a gypsy as she personally moved all over the country opening PB locations in different markets and began franchising the concept in July 2009 while living in LA. She then developed Pure Barre Product and over time created an extensive line of DVDs, at-home barres, skincare, food bars, apparel and accessories.
Carrie is a member of the Entrepreneur’s Organization as well as being involved with the Summit Series, Renaissance and the Legacy Foundation. She is a guest speaker on entrepreneurship and franchising for the MBA programs at the University of Southern California and the University of Colorado.
Carrie is passionate about giving back to the community and launched the Pure Give movement in 2009. She is also launching PB’s “Pureneur” program very soon! In 2009 while visiting PB Denver, Carrie was completely caught off guard when she met Frank Dorr, PB’s now CFO. They married in 2011 and live in Boulder & Vail with their 2 labs Logan & Mo. They are expecting their first little Dorr in December! They try spending as much time in the mountains as possible and are avid cyclists, hikers, skiers and anything that involves the outdoors!
