Join us at our Pure Barre studio in Fairfax, Virginia, which also serves the suburbs of Alexandria, Reston, Great Falls, Clifton, and Lorton. With Pure Barre, you will find a gentle way to transform your body using low-impact moves that are easy on your joints. Whether you are a tired parent, a busy student, or a senior, our classic workouts using the ballet barre will effectively work all the muscles in your body while building a strong mind/body connection.
Pure Barre classes always begin with a simple warmup to get your muscles moving. We then transition to arm work, which typically uses light weights. Next, we move to leg exercise and seatwork that are followed by moves for your core, including your lower back. Each class finishes with gentle stretches to lengthen your fired-up muscles. Even though we follow this general format, you will find that every class feels a bit different from the one before because we mix up exercises and music to keep sessions interesting.
Our instructors are dedicated to helping you improve your barre practice. We keep our classes small enough so that we can coach you one-on-one. You can try our Pure Barre Classic workout, or if you are up for the challenge, you can sign up for the Pure Barre Empower class. Empower uses cardio intervals and ankle weights to amp up your calorie burn.
