Throughout April, we are celebrating beauty and balance with our friends at Real Simple! We’ll be posting some deliciously simple recipes on our blog, all of which are made with 7 ingredients or less – including this one. Enjoy!
This recipe is creamy, light, and perfectly healthy for fueling your busy day. Adding avocados to smoothies gives it the creamy texture plus a serving of healthy fats! The spinach is full of vitamins and minerals, the hemp seeds pack a huge protein-punch, and the pineapple and banana give it the sweet taste with potassium and nutrients. The unsweetened almond milk provides calcium as well. It’s the perfect blend of all these ingredients to detox your mind and body and get rid of cravings!
- 1 large handful of spinach (or other green like kale)
- ½ cup unsweetened vanilla almond milk
- ½ frozen banana
- ⅓ avocado
- ¼ cup pineapple
- 1 T. hemp seeds (for added protein, sub in 1 scoop protein powder if preferred)
Blend all ingredients in a blender until smooth.
