I’ve got a sweet tooth – a big one. When I’m trying to cut back on sugar and crave something sweet – especially something chocolatey – I go for this simple mousse made with something you wouldn’t expect: avocados! It’s creamy, subtly sweet, decadently chocolatey and hits the spot. Serve it to unsuspecting guests and have them guess the main ingredient! It’s loaded with healthy fat so you can indulge without the guilt. Plus, the healthy fat will keep you satiated!
- 2 ripe avocados, pitted
- 1-2 T. coconut nectar, to taste
- 3 T. 100% cacao powder
- 1 T. vanilla extract
- 1 t. cinnamon
- 3 T. almond milk (optional)
- Combine all ingredients in a food processor and blend until desired consistency is reached, stopping every couple minutes to scrape down the sides.
- Serve immediately or chill for a few hours to allow mousse to set.
