At Pure Barre you will get a total body work out in 55 minutes. Every once in a while, we like to challenge ourselves and take our class to the next level. That’s where our intensives come in!
Over the next three months you will see three different 75 minute intensives offered at your local studios: Fab Abs, Upper Body and Balance & Strength. We talked to Pure Barre Training Specialist Danielle Cote to get the latest on this fall’s intensive classes.
Pure Barre: Tell us about the intensive classes being offered in studios throughout the remainder of 2016.
Danielle: The Fab Abs Intensive offers the Pure Barre total body experience with additional focus on your abs to challenge your core strength even more. The Upper Body Intensive incorporates additional work to sculpt your arms, chest and back. The Balance & Strength intensive provides challenges throughout to test your balance, increase your strength and includes additional opportunities for stretching.
Pure Barre: We’ve offered both the Fab Abs Intensive and Upper Body Intensive before. Can clients expect anything different this time around?
Danielle: Similar to a 55 minute class, you’ll never do the same exact class twice. Your teacher will lead you through all of the sections that you are used to doing in your 55 minute class. The additional work throughout will vary from what you have seen in previous versions allowing you to challenge yourself in new ways!
Pure Barre: This is the first time for the Balance & Strength Intensive. Can you tell us a little bit more about it?
Danielle: Exercises that challenge endurance, strength, balance and flexibility provide the necessary variety for a complete workout. Balancing exercises can take you out of your comfort zone just a bit. Often times, the things that are most challenging for us are the things that we need to do the most. Throughout the intensive there are chances to work on your balance while improving your overall strength. While all intensives have additional stretching, the Balance & Strength Intensive incorporates several additional opportunities to stretch and work on flexibility.
Pure Barre: Anything else we should know to get ready for the fall 2016 intensives?
Danielle: Devote your attention to yourself and the cues that your teacher is providing. No need to worry about what the people around you are doing. The intensive classes are designed for all levels. Don’t be afraid to opt for the modification when needed, but also don’t be afraid to try to take the challenge. When you come to class those 55 minutes are YOURS. Allow yourself to embrace the extra 20 minutes for yourself as you take your Intensives over the next few months.
So, what are you waiting for? Reach out to your local studio to find out when their intensive classes will be offered!
