Michelle KluzChief Executive Officer

Michelle Kluz

Michelle joined Pure Barre in January 2016 as CEO.  She comes to Pure Barre by way of Australia, where she was CEO of BBRC, one of Australia's largest specialty retail conglomerates with 6 brands and 1,100+ stores across 23 countries. Prior to this, Michelle served as interim Chief Merchandising Officer of Avenue when it was part of Kering Group, where she was responsible for Buying, Design, Sourcing, and Marketing.Michelle also spent 6 years at The Boston Consulting Group in their New York and Shanghai offices. In addition, she has held leadership roles at Motorola and Sapient.

Michelle holds an MBA from Northwestern University's Kellogg School of Management. She also earned a BFA in Art History, a BFA in Graphic Design, and a BA in Anthropology from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, where she graduated summa cum laude, Phi Beta Kappa, and Bronze tablet. She is also a Fulbright Scholar.

A lifelong avid fitness enthusiast, Michelle is a huge Pure Barre fan and a competitive runner.

Sloan EvansChief Operating Officer

Sloan Evans

Prior to joining Pure Barre, Sloan was the Chief Financial Officer of Johnson Development Associates, a real estate development company based in South Carolina that has developed and managed approximately 20 million square feet of retail, office, apartment and industrial properties across the Southeast and Mid-Atlantic. In addition, Sloan led the management of American Storage, a chain of 31 self-storage facilities located in the Carolinas and Georgia. As part of the senior management team of both companies, Sloan was involved with the development, operations, finances, and corporate strategy across all divisions. Prior to joining Johnson Development, Sloan held various positions in the commercial banking industry. He is a graduate of Washington and Lee University. Sloan is married and has three young children.

Carrie Rezabek DorrFounder

Carrie Dorr

Carrie grew up professionally dancing, performing and choreographing events all over the U.S. She has extensive training in dance, pilates and fitness. After earning a Business degree from Michigan State and a Law Degree from Wayne State, Carrie opened her first studio in Birmingham, MI in 2001 where she developed the Pure Barre workout. Carrie lived like a gypsy as she personally moved all over the country opening Pure Barre locations in different markets and began franchising the concept in July 2009 while living in LA. She has since created an extensive line of DVDs and exercise equipment. Carrie is a member of the Entrepreneur’s Organization as well as being involved with the Summit Series, Renaissance and the Legacy Foundation. She is a guest speaker on entrepreneurship and franchising for the MBA programs at the University of Southern California and the University of Colorado. Carrie is passionate about giving back to the community and launched the Pure Give movement in 2009.  In 2009 while visiting the Pure Barre Denver studio, Carrie was completely caught off guard when she met Frank Dorr. They were married in 2011 and live in Boulder & Vail with their son Luke, two twin girls,  Ruby and Ellie, and two labs, Logan and Moe.

Martha AlbergottiVice President of Franchise Development

Martha Albergotti, VP of Franchise Development at Pure Barre

Martha joined the Pure Barre Corporate team in March 2013.  In her role as Vice President of Franchise Development, she and her team’s primary responsibility is to identify and recruit strong new studio owners to join the Pure Barre franchise system. Prior to her involvement with Pure Barre, Martha was with the NFL’s Carolina Panthers, where she worked to build a new business development function for the organization. In addition, she previously served as a Project Manager in the Global Business Development department at the South Carolina Department of Commerce, recruiting companies to her home state of South Carolina. Martha is a proud graduate and former student body president at Wofford College.

Lainie BelitzVice President of Corporate Strategy

Lainie Belitz

Lainie Belitz brings with her more than a decade of operations experience, advancing upward through California’s largest personal lines insurance agency. During her time with this Fortune 500 company she served in a variety of capacities, including periods in customer service, sales, operations, and eventually ending tenure as an executive-level project manager. During her last two years Lainie oversaw a multi-million dollar, company-wide strategic initiative to create a paperless agency management system. The further Lainie climbed the corporate ladder the more disconnected she found herself from her love of movement. In 2004, she entered a Pilates Teacher Training Program in Los Angeles and began teaching. Shortly after moving to Colorado Lainie took her first Pure Barre class and was hooked. She loved the workout, how it made her feel and the results she saw and continues to see. Lainie served in the Director of Operations role at Pure Barre since 2010 and then transitioned into the product and merchandising operations side of the Pure Barre world.  Lainie is thrilled to take on this new role as VP of Corporate Strategy.

Molly CashmanDirector of Marketing

Molly Cashman

Molly Cashman joined the Pure Barre team in 2013 as the Director of Marketing. Prior to joining Pure Barre, Molly spent six years handling national marketing initiatives for CreateSpace, an company that helps independent authors, filmmakers, and musicians self-publish and distribute their work. Molly most recently served as the Marketing Director for Wyche, P.A., a full-service law firm that has served businesses in South Carolina for more than 90 years. Marketing gives Molly the opportunity to use both her creative and analytical skills on a daily basis, and she loves that no two days are ever the same. Molly is a summa cum laude graduate of the University of South Carolina Honors College. As a native of Spartanburg, SC, Molly is excited to be returning home and working with all of the talented professionals at Pure Barre. When she’s not working, Molly is usually trying to keep up with her young daughter, Emmylou, who is trying her best to keep up with their springer spaniel, Amos.

Katelyn DiGiorgioDirector of Training & Quality Assurance

Katelyn DiGiorgio

Katelyn DiGiorgio joined the Pure Barre team in 2010 as a teacher in Denver, CO and began working with the corporate team as a Master Teacher Trainer in 2013. Enthusiastic to help grow the Pure Barre brand and lifestyle, Katelyn moved to San Diego, CA to open and manage a studio. Now based in Spartanburg, SC, she is responsible for the overall development of Pure Barre’s training and quality assurance programs as the Director of Training & Quality Assurance. Prior to joining Pure Barre, Katelyn worked for ADP, a national provider of business outsourcing solutions, as a District Manager responsible for consulting small businesses on technical applications that enhance processes and efficiency. At ADP, Katelyn gained exposure to the inner-workings of small business operations. Katelyn also holds an extensive background in dance and fitness. She earned her ACE Group Fitness Instructor Certification, and taught various types of classes before eventually finding Pure Barre in 2009. Through this experience she developed thorough practice in teaching methods and techniques that provide positive motivation and enthusiasm to help others reach their fitness goals. In her role, Katelyn is excited to share her experience and knowledge of the Pure Barre technique with others in order to help them grow as teachers and inspire clients across the nation.

Elizabeth ShulerDirector of Operations

Elizabeth Shuler

Elizabeth Shuler joined the Pure Barre team in November 2013 as a Franchise Consultant.  Since this time, Elizabeth’s role has expanded to include responsibility for overall operations of Pure Barre as the Director of Operations.  Prior to joining Pure Barre, she worked for Belk Store Services in their planning division.  At Belk, Elizabeth had the opportunity to complete the Executive Training Program and gain exposure to multiple facets of the business, including advertising/promotion, e-commerce, merchandising, and inventory planning.  She is a Magna Cum Laude graduate of Wofford College with a degree in English and Art History. She is excited to continue to develop relationships with studio owners and to partner with them to foster the success of Pure Barre as a whole.

Amy TankersleyVice President of Product & Retail Strategy

Amy Tankersley

Amy joined Pure Barre in December 2013 as the VP of Product & Retail Strategy and brings 17 years of retail and product development experience to the team. Most recently, she worked with 180s, a retail accessory company, for 3 years.  At 180s she was Director of Merchandising then promoted to VP of Marketing. Prior to 180s Amy was the Director of Women's Apparel with Under Armour where she developed their women's business, creating a full product range from head to toe story. Her earlier experience was with Reebok and Puma focusing on performance apparel as a product line and category manager. She is a seasoned runner that quickly recognized the core strength benefits of the Pure Barre technique, which help to elevate her training and reduce injury risk.  Amy is a South Carolina native and being close to friends and family adds to her passion for the Pure Barre brand.

Katie WiebuschDirector of Franchise Consulting

Katie Wiebusch

Katie Wiebusch joined the Pure Barre Corporate team in 2013 as an analyst on the Real Estate team. Since this time, Katie’s role has expanded to include responsibility for overall consulting efforts as the Director of Franchise Consulting. She is excited to work with her team of consultants and each Pure Barre owner to improve the customer and team experience, increase customer retention, and drive optimal operational performance at the studio level. Katie comes to the team with financial analysis and business development experience. Not only an employee of the company, but a diehard Pure Barre client, Katie takes class wherever and whenever she finds time. Since 2014, Katie has visited over 150 Pure Barre studios and enjoys being in studios interacting with teams and clients. She received a B.A. from Wofford College, where she majored in Finance and Spanish, and minored in Economics. Katie is excited to be in a role and working for a company that she is most passionate about.

Jared WilsonDirector of Design and Construction

Jared Wilson

Jared Wilson joined the Pure Barre team in April 2013 as Director of Design and Construction. Prior to joining Pure Barre, Jared worked for EDENS, a developer, owner and operator of community-oriented shopping centers on the East Coast. At EDENS, he played a key role in the Construction Department and helped develop their Tenant Construction team as Director of Tenant Coordination.  Jared is a native of SC and graduated from Clemson University, where he met his wife. They have a three year old son who keeps them on their toes.

Andy WrightChief Financial Officer

Andy Wright

Andy Wright joined the Pure Barre team in 2013 as Chief Financial Officer. In this role he is responsible for planning, implementing, managing and controlling all financial-related activities of the company. This includes direct responsibility for accounting, finance, forecasting, strategic planning, and information technology. Prior to joining Pure Barre, Andy was the Director of Finance and Asset Management for OTO Development, a hospitality company based in South Carolina that has developed and managed over 50 upscale hotels throughout the US. As part of the senior management team, Andy was involved with the development, operations, finances, and corporate strategy across all divisions. Prior to joining OTO, Andy held various consulting positions with IBM Global Services. He is a graduate of the University of Georgia. Andy is married and has three young children.
