Michelle joined Pure Barre in January 2016 as CEO. She comes to Pure Barre by way of Australia, where she was CEO of BBRC, one of Australia's largest specialty retail conglomerates with 6 brands and 1,100+ stores across 23 countries. Prior to this, Michelle served as interim Chief Merchandising Officer of Avenue when it was part of Kering Group, where she was responsible for Buying, Design, Sourcing, and Marketing. Michelle also spent 6 years at The Boston Consulting Group in their New York and Shanghai offices. In addition, she has held leadership roles at Motorola and Sapient. Michelle holds an MBA from Northwestern University's Kellogg School of Management. She also earned a BFA in Art History, a BFA in Graphic Design, and a BA in Anthropology from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, where she graduated summa cum laude, Phi Beta Kappa, and Bronze tablet. She is also a Fulbright Scholar. A lifelong avid fitness enthusiast, Michelle is a huge Pure Barre fan and a competitive runner.
