about our location

At Pure Barre in Indianapolis, Indiana, we'll help you burn calories, build lean muscles, and trim those trouble spots. Our studio features private changing areas and plenty of support from like-minded people. This location is close to downtown, near the canal and residential communities. In addition to offering classes to commuters, business people, students, and parents, we also serve people living in Carmel, Zionsville, Fountain Square, and Avon. Anyone who works or lives in Fishers, Noblesville, Plainfield, Greenwood, Keystone, or Broad Ripple can also use our convenient studio.

Our workouts start with stretches that are followed by lifting with hand weights. The next part of the workout is at the ballet barre where you will do classic ballet moves that strengthen your core and trim your hips, thighs, and buttocks. Abdominal exercises help tone your tummy, and a cooldown restores your sense of calm and well-being. Each exercise varies from one workout to the next, and we change the music to keep classes fun.

We've selected instructors who are encouraging and helpful. They'll show you proper posture and form and provide you with friendly motivation and consistent support. Our location also features several specialty classes to complement our classics. These include Pure Foundations and monthly Intensives. Pure Foundations is great for beginners, and Intensives focus on a particular muscle group.

All people are welcome at our studio. Regardless of your fitness level, we'll aim to inspire you on your journey to fitness. Everyone, from beginner to expert to those in the middle, benefits from our workouts.

Our Downtown Indy studio is searching for the perfect instructors to complete our team and bring the Pure Barre community to downtown!

‪Qualifications: ‬‬‬
‪* Enthusiastic, confident and outgoing personality‬‬‬
* Passion for fitness, wellness, and helping others
‪* Ability and desire to build client relationships through outstanding customer service‬‬‬
‪* Active lifestyle, already living a health-centered life‬‬‬
‪* Dependable with a strong work ethic - natural willingness to go above and beyond‬‬‬
‪* Confidence to energetically command a room of 20+ people‬‬‬
‪* Musicality -- ability to keep rhythm and count to beat of music‬‬‬
‪* Background in dance, fitness, cheerleading or barre concept (ideal but not required)‬‬‬

Responsibilities: ‬
‪* Availability to teach a minimum of 4 to 6 classes per week (classes are offered early mornings, midday, evenings, weekends, and holidays)‬‬‬
‪* Diligent planning and preparation before each class, including diligent study of choreography and class planning prior to each class, as well as learning full choreography changes on a quarterly basis‬‬‬
‪* Sell, upsell, assist clients with retail and package purchases before and after class‬‬‬
‪* Assist with studio administrative needs, client follow-up emails & phone calls and keeping the studio tidy.‬‬‬
‪* Ability to lift hand weights, demonstrate full body pushups, and maintain high-energy for 55-minute class required

All instructors are required to complete a 4-day training at one of our corporate training centers, as well as significant 'at home' study and preparation for certification before being eligible to teach classes. Minimum one year commitment to teaching required before attending 4-day training.
