How did your Pure Barre Journey Start?
I found Pure Barre online in February or March of 2015 and thought it sounded fun since I had a cheer background. I came in, took one class, and purchased an unlimited membership afterwards. I’ve never looked back!
How long have you been with Pure Barre Winston-Salem?
Teaching, and taking, for 8 years- it’s my happy place. I went to training after taking 40 classes!
What is your favorite part about Pure Barre?
While the workout is amazing, the community is probably my favorite part (y’all know I love to talk!). It truly is such a blessing to be around so many people who are constantly filling your cup, building you up, and making you a better version of yourself every time you walk into the studios. I can’t get enough of that!
What is your favorite class format?
Define or Empower! Give me all the good, sweaty, intensity!
What do you do when you aren’t a Pure Barre (other jobs/hobbies, etc)
Aside from hanging with Mav (5), Callie (2.5), and Gib (my hubby), and whatever crazy activities our lives bring; I actually work for Anna’s husband, Kevin, at Fulton & Roark (a fragrance company). I’m their Customer Service and Public Relations extraordinaire, and it’s been a perfect fit for this season of my life. Taking class is one of my favorite hobbies, and I love spending time with friends and family. That’s what makes life fun, right?!
What is one fun fact about yourself that you’d like to share?
I’m named after my dad, who was named after his dad’s bestie (Mahlon Lowe). They fought fighter-jets together in WWII, and were scheduled for a mission to drop the first atomic bomb together. Before the mission, they were both called off and able to come home to be with family; Less risky, but almost mega-famous!
